My story and The Secret

It's taking a lot of courage for me to write this post as it's very personal but i feel like it's an experience i'd like to ...

My week!

After going to London, i jumped on a train and travelled further down south to Plymouth to visit my sister and beautiful baby nephew. The further i got away from home in Yorkshire, i didn't want to go back! ;-)

We took the dogs out for a walk and as we approached the top of a hill, i saw this amazing view of the clouds down low! it was a pretty sight surrounded by autumn colours, which i love! (As you will be able to tell, if you have read my previous blogs!)

We had pancakes/waffles with bacon and maple syrup for breakfast!!! It's the BEST! Totally need to find me a waffle machine!!

This morning (back up in Yorkshire) me and my dad took our dog 'Molly' out for a walk down this path by a church in Wentworth! So pretty and quiet! I love it :-)

Happy Halloween!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

So, for halloween i didn't do a great deal, tonight on halloween i've been sat at my brothers watching films such as Splash (i was named after Daryl Hannah... the mermaid!) Maleficent with Angelina Joelie, which was a really good film too!  whilst sat with his lovely fiancé feeling her stomach whilst my baby niece was kicking away! It was incredible!

We had a halloween party last Friday at our Student bar at High melton university centre in which i dressed up as a... Murdered cheer leader? Not looking very dead, i know!

In all fairness though, both of my Aunts and my sister thought i had been attacked as it looks like I'm crying... which i was! My make up was running into in my eye and making it water, so i took a picture to get a real effect! ;-) My auntie said it looks like an Ad for being abused!

London

So this weekend, I jumped on a train too Reading to visit my friend Tom! We went on adventure to London, it's only the second time ever been! Can you believe that?

Here's some photo's!

Travelling to Madame Tussaudes...

(So this one isn't very good quality!- blame Tom!)

I enjoyed it so much, except if I can give any advice... Don't go on a Saturday! It was SO BUSY!! I was hoping for some funny poses and loads more photos!!

We then went on The London Eye! eep!

Can anyone tell me what RED double lines mean???

Alphah

When i bought my beauty products from Beautybay.com last week, i received a little goody! It's by far the best little goody i've ever received! :-)

ALPHAH 'BALANCING MOISTURISER AND GENTLE EXFOLIANT'

It's only  a sample, but i love it. Im seriously considering buying it. I put it on every morning and evening before bed. It makes my skin feel and look so soft an subtle! It has a very strong smell, similar to airwaves (chewing gum) but at the same time it feels and smells like you're but Vicks onto your face, so it's important that you don't put it near your eyes! That's a big no no.

Has anyone else ever used this product or any others that would be recommended?

Treat myself... again.

I always seem to be treating myself. I just do not know when to stop. Someone needs to take my card away from me.

Before i decided i was going to come home with an Apple Mac, i'd previously made a purchase on beauty bay! Oops. It was totally worth it though. I've previously been watching Zoella's youtube blog and got very inspired after watching one of her make up tutorials! So i decided i needed to make some purchases...

Here's what i got...

Luxe Cream Lipstick Venus Phase - £7.50
Brow Box Brown Sugar - £19.00
Eye Shadow Trio Goddess £13.00
Premier SPF20 Mineral Foundation 04 Apricot - FREEBIE (for spending so much)

The eyeshadow is the BEST. I bought it mainly for the gold, it brings out the blue in my eyes! Secondly, the Lipstick.... i LOVE the colour!!

After treating myself to some make-up and then a iMac unexpectedly... I bought myself some hair curler's as i've never had any before. (I always used my mums!) I only bought some cheap ones as i thought i should probably start being more careful with my money.... :-) yeah.
Really Impressed and adore my cute little curls!!! If i do say so myself :-)

Feeling very Inspired

Right now im supposed to be studying but i couldn't miss this opportunity to write a blog as I'm feeling quite inspired by the horrible cold weather... isn't that crazy?

Yesterday, i wasn't feeling very good and decided to go out for a walk to get some fresh air near Holmfirth and we went for a lovely walk at Digley reservoir. Although the weather let us down with rain and fog, there was still some lovely scenery! As i walked around, i was surrounded by all these lovely autumn colours, which i love! There's just something so cosy about this time of year...

One of my favourite things is being cosy, going out in boots and oversized jumpers and cute little woolly hats! But i also love coming home and putting on some fluffy socks, a cosy jumper and sitting by the fire. My dad has an original coal fire and it's beautiful, it throws out so much heat.

When it gets to this time of year i find myself drinking a lot of hot chocolate, which marshmallows and cream! Mmm Mmm Mmm. Snuggling up in a blanket watching a film in bed or on the sofa, along with a fluffy hot water bottle, whilst its raining and cold outside! it sounds luxury! Not forgetting the bar of chocolate of course! ;-) (i love comfort food!) and maybe a lovely scented candle!

What's your favourite thing about Autumn?

The Spiced Pear - Hepworth

Recently, it was my dad’s birthday. Where we went for a lovely stroll along with my brothers, nephew and the dogs some where near the peak district in which we saw some incredible sights. Anyhow, after the walk we got a bit peckish  and driving around without directions we came across this little lovely restaurant called ‘The Spiced Pear’

We had no idea what kind of place this was, but I loved it before I’d even walked through the door! Walking down from the car park, it felt as though I was walking down a secret path with fairy lights and beautiful greenery!

As I walked through the doors, feeling out of place in my walking boots, straight away I knew this was going to be ‘posh’ as I walked into a cocktail bar but continuing through to another room, I walked into a tea room and fell in love straight away. Greeted by a big smile and a warm welcome we all sat down at a table. Looking around, I saw tea cups and teapots everywhere! I almost felt like I was in an Alice in wonderland film, but it was so cosy with a fireplace and book shelves at the far end of the room. I was really impressed.
(This is my lush hot chocolate, my dad and brother along with the cutest pot of tomato ketchup!)

With it being early on in the day and being typically English, we all chose to have a cooked breakfast! And I chose to have a hot chocolate! WOW! I have never seen anyone put so much effort into a drink! I had it topped with cream, hundreds of marshmallows which were then caramelised with chocolate sprinkle, well… I was beyond impressed! (I keep trying to do it at home ever since but I just don’t have that magic touch!)

Along came our breakfast and I have never tasted anything so good!!! You could tell straight away that ‘The Spiced Pear’ only believe in FRESH food, Fresh is an understatement, it tasted so good!! I didn't want to leave.

I could happily go on and on!

But please take a moment to go on their website and have a look at their menu’s and the images and their Facebook page, some of the images are incredible!

I will be definitely going back!

Ready for student lock in at Meadowhall.

Denim shirt dress - £19.99 H&M
Cardigan - £45 - Urban Outfitters
Boots - £65 - Schuh

Denim Jumpsuit

Cheeky purchase from Primark! I was curious to whether I could pull it off. What do you think?

It's so comfortable to wear! A lot of people say it something my mum would have worn when she was my age! :-) I like that fashion goes in circles!

Converse (more shoes!)

I went to Schuh a day or two ago to buy some new squeaky clean converse! As mine are past their sell by dates now :-( I'm definitely a converse girl rather than a vans girl. There's just so many too chose from though, don't you agree?

I didn't want the plain white ones because everyone buys them, they're the most popular. However at the same time, they do go with everything and look really good! I bought some tribal ones, they really caught my eye! they had pretty pink flowers on them! I'm not really all that girly though if I have to be honest but they were different and ... Quirky! :-) that's a word I love!

Check them out!

And I bought the White ones too! Oops! Best of both worlds! :-)

I will wear both of them though, they're super comfortable and I wear them with anything from jeans to dresses! I love a good maxi dress and a denim jacket with my converse! ;-)

Upwards and Onwards

It's been a while hasn't it? I'm incredibly sorry! I've been caught up on settling back into my final year at university - Finally! Yay! :-D

When it comes to myself and feelings at the moment, they've been here and there! October is a hard month for me but Do you ever just feel like, you aren't good enough? Well, I'm all one for positive thinking and everything but I'm not sure what happened this time, i just found myself getting lower and lower.

Firstly, I found myself feeling very low about  my ability to be a blog writer! Another reason was that i almost had (what could have been) a very serious car accident, which scared me so much! Which made me doubt my driving skills. If it's one piece of advice i have for you, do not take things or people for granted!!! It's safe to say, im slowly getting over it and taking a lot more caution! We've all done it right? Lesson learnt!! There is a few other reasons to why i felt the way i have been but I'll not bore you! :-)

OK so, after feeling down in the dumps, I woke up one morning and gave myself a reality check! I'd do this thing that my sister used to tell me to do, where you would write a list of 10-20 things you have to look forward to in your life as well as setting goals! I find it helps to motivate me.

I find it amazing how much self confidence people can have. Some people think I'm quite confident and I do like to think I am most of the time. I mean, I can talk the hind legs off a donkey! But what people don't see is that I'm easily intimidated. I will try my best to fit in with anyone, sometimes I struggle but what you have to accept is, that's just the way it is sometimes! Some people are not as easy to get on with as much as others but if it's one thing i've learnt, it's to be yourself, don't try and be someone your not and most importantly, Believe in yourself. Because if you don't... you won't get far. Be positive! :-)

Today, I read this article in the Company Magazine - it was quite interesting actually! About, how it's getting to that time of year where everyone's making themselves available, ready to get all cosy for the Christmas/winter season! Isn't that crazy? I say this, but deep down im one of these people! Or at least, id like to be... but not just for the winter season!!! that's just pure madness if you ask me. This is where self confidence comes into it... when it comes to guys, im so shy! I am the biggest wimp and I hate admitting this, because guys like confident females don't they? Apparently. I just don't seem to handle the whole 'Butterfly' feeling very well and quite frankly, it always gets the better of me!  I don't know why and I like to think that I'm not the only one

If your anything like me, your a people pleaser and you worry too much what people think? Yes? Well, i should probably take my own advice in this case, but don't.

These are the things I tell myself everyday!

1) Don't worry about what people think of you. (What your wearing or what you are doing, being confident and being different makes you stand out from the crowd!)

2) Believe in yourself. (You can do it! Whatever it is you want to do, get up and do it!)

Which brings me to number 3..

3) There's no such thing as 'Can't' (Anything is possible!)

4) Set yourself goals and achievements (I did this on my year out and doubted myself but I kept going and did it, I achieved more than everything I hoped I would, and believe me... it's the best feeling in the world!)

5) All you can do is try your best (At least you can say you tried, even if it comes to not being very confident with something, you don't know until you try!)

6) It's not the end of the world (Never give up. I've been through some pretty bad times in the last few years... there was a point when i thought it was the end of the world and i gave up, but i soon realised there's a big world out there. Pick yourself up and try again. Maybe start a new journey?)

7) Always turn a negative into a positive (Positive thinking attracts positive people and happenings!)

8) Smile :-)
